So What Does A Teddy Bear Get Up To Over The Summer Holidays? 

Well ‘Patch’ has been very adventurous!

He entertained and enjoyed the company of the 20^th Gloucestershire Brownies with a special pre summer party, belted up for an exciting long journey down the motorway for a special birthday party in High Wycombe near London, met lots of children on his activity days at Taurus Crafts and Whitemead Park, managed to rustle up a few days to promote himself at Beechenhurst Lodge and carried out his usual party piece with many other very special children celebrating their birthdays.

‘Patch’ was so excited about doing the Brownies party he wouldn’t stop talking about it. He proudly found his uniform of badges, took a photo of himself, framed it and presented it to Brown Owl, Rachel Kittle. Well weren’t the Brownies surprised!

I did tell ‘Patch’ that it’s quite unusual to take a picture of ones-self.

Well we both had a wonderful day, the Brownies and Brown Owl made us really welcome and they were all so well behaved! ‘Patch’ presented the Brownies with their very own new Teddy Bear mascot to make & name themselves as a reminder of their special day. Brown Owl proudly designed him a T-shirt to wear. The most important part of this day and every day of his holiday was that every child went home very happy with their bear’y’ special new friend.
